Walt is diagnosed with terminal lung cancer and makes a terrible decision to make narcotics to raise enough money to take care of his family once he passes away. Walt encounters his former failed chemistry student, Jesse Pinkman (
Aaron Paul), who is already steeped in a life of drugs. Walt makes Jesse a dangerous proposition.
